Last year, a paper from the Tsukaya Lab. titled “Comparative analysis to investigate a possible mechanism for cell enlargement in succulent leaves of Crassothonna capensis (Asteraceae),” which was accepted by the Journal of Plant Research (an international journal published by The Botanical Society of Japan), was selected for the cover of the issue (Volume 139, Issue No. 1, January 2026).
The cover features a photograph of C. capensis (Ruby Necklace), the succulent plant used in the study.
