Who Should Apply?
Senior Ph.D. students and post-doctoral fellows who have a deep interest in neuroethology and experiences with laboratory work, and preferably, publications.
Application Process:
One reference letter will be required from the current supervisor.
Selection Process:
25 students will be selected. Selection will be on the basis of their academic record, written statements concerning their interest in neuroethology, and how they expect to benefit from participating in the school. Abstract submission to the subsequent 2014 ICN / JSCPB in Sapporo (from 28 July - 1 August) will be required.
Costs:
There will be no attendance fee. All the selected students will receive economy round-trip airfare from the major international airport in a foreign country to Sapporo. The hotel rooms and accommodation fees (from July 23-28, 5 nights) will be provided to all the students, but not meals.
*Please note that registration and accommodation fees for the subsequent 2014 ICN / JSCPB Meeting in Sapporo (from 28 July - 1 August) will not be covered. Participants are required to pay for these expenses. However, reservations have been secured at the same hotel as that during the IBRO School at a reduced rate (7,500 yen per night; check in 28 July and check out 1 August or 2 August). The School participants will be asked if they wish to stay at the same hotel or not.
