Organization

This COE program will integrate the following four overlapping aspects of life: Development of Life, Functional Control of Life, Relay of Generations, and Abnormalities of Living Systems. These are the “weft” of the COE, while the three major institutions participating in the COE, namely, School of Medicine, School of Science and Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (IMCB), constitute the “warp”. The matrix structure of the weft and warp forms the backbone for the creation of new amalgamated fields and new methodologies.
