The present Global COE Programs together with Kyoto University held a joint symposium on January 20–21, 2012. In the first day, 10 oral presentations by younger researchers and 54 poster presentations were held. In the second day, 4 members of the global COE program gave lectures, and then an open symposium was followed. Of the 242 participants, 117 were from The University of Tokyo, 66 were from Kyoto University, and 59 were the public. A detailed program can be found here (2.3 MB).
