講演題目：カワゴケソウ科における特異な形態の進化

概要

垂直軸に支えられた普通の陸上植物の体つきは陸上生活に対する適応であるが、河川の岩上にへばりつくカワゴケソウ科の姿はそれとは著しく異なり、水生軸を基本とする。そのような形態がカワゴケソウ科においてどのように多様化し、進化したと考えられるか、それに関する最近の研究を紹介する。この植物を例にして、環境に対する植物の適応進化についても触れる。
